Here are some tips on how to change career to programming, this is how I did it 15 years ago, and also some people I know who have switched career to coding and software engineering. Keep track of your progress so that you can show how fast you learn and how motivated you are to learn more, then companies can predict when are you going to pay of as an investment. This is what I would do if I would to switch a career to coding today, or pretty much any other career path.
