In this video, I break down why 4K gaming isn’t the holy grail it’s hyped up to be. From consoles that can’t consistently hit 60fps without turning your screen into a blurry FSR soup, to PC builds that require the cost of a small house just to run AAA games decently — the 4K dream feels more like a scam than a standard.
I’m not saying 4K looks bad — it doesn’t. But for most gamers, especially those with mid-range rigs or 30-inch monitors, the performance hit and price just aren’t worth it. And with modern games being more unoptimized than ever, 1080p is still one of the best ways to get great performance and visuals without breaking the bank.
This isn’t a rant for the sake of it — it’s a reality check on what gaming actually feels like for the 99%.
