Photoshop 2026 Changes Everything: RAW Adjustments as Layers
With Photoshop 2026 (version 27.3), Adobe has finally introduced a feature we've been waiting for for years:
Camera Raw adjustments now appear in Photoshop as actual adjustment layers.
This means a completely new workflow:
✅ Smaller files (no heavy Smart Objects)
✅ Less destructive and more dynamic editing
✅ Real-time adjustments
✅ Much more precise Photoshop masks
✅ Total control with Blend If and panels like TK9
In this tutorial, we'll work on a photo of Rocca Calascio, in Abruzzo, to see the new layers in detail:
• Color / Vibrance
• Clarity / Dehaze
• Grain
and understand why this update truly changes the way you work in Photoshop, especially with a Fine Art approach.
