Hello everyone!

Welcome back to our series on C-section also known as abdominal deliveries. In our last video, we introduced the topic and discussed three broad reasons why your caregiver may recommend a C-section. Today, we will be looking into the maternal reasons why a caregiver might recommend C-section.

If you've had two previous C-sections, your caregiver may recommend an elective C-section from the start of your pregnancy. Safety and optimal outcomes are the priority in such cases.

Additionally, If you've had one C-section and also underwent another surgery involving your uterus (such as myomectomy to remove fibroids), the scar tissue and altered uterine anatomy may make a C-section the safer choice.

Another important reason is if you have a contracted pelvis, which can be caused by an accident or other factors. In such cases, a vaginal delivery may be challenging or risky, prompting the recommendation for a C-section.

Stay tuned for our next video where we'll continue exploring the reasons why a C-section may be recommended. Remember, every pregnancy is unique, and decisions are made based on individual health, safety, and well-being. Stay informed, ask questions, and trust your healthcare provider's guidance.
