This is day 206 of my daily SnowRunner Hard Mode Play-through.
In this episode we begin in the White Western Star 4964 at the Brick Production Plant, and start by loading up 6 x Bricks required to complete the Paper Factory, Section C contract. After loading up, we exit the Brick Plant and head back down the hill and along the sandy beach, then across the Wooden Bridge and up over the Factories Bridge to arrive at the Paper Factory where we deliver the 6 x Bricks and complete the contract! Hooray! This unlocks the final paper contract titled Wisconsin Truck Trip which we will attempt shortly, but for now, the focus switches to the remaining tasks here in Black Badger Lake. We start by staying in the White Western Star 4964 with the sideboard semi-trailer, and start the Recovering What's Lost task, heading out of the Paper Factory, refuelling from the Fuel carrier trailer on the way, and then crossing the Creek Bridge and heading over the hill towards the Railway Station, but turning along the tracks away from the station and finding the Oversized Cargo Container on the tracks. We load it onto the semi-trailer, then turn around and head back to the Railway Station, where we park for the moment and switch to the International Loadstar 1700 which is parked at the Station, and bring it out to meet the White Western Star 4964, and we then refuel the Loadstar. We then switch back to the White Western Star 4964 and head back over the hill to the main road, returning back across the Creek Bridge and past the Paper Factory where we refuel again from the fuel carrier trailer. We continue across the Factories Bridge and on, running down to the water's edge near the (empty) brick framing site and we then head straight across the water directly towards the Farm where we deliver the Oversized Cargo Container to complete the Recovering What's Lost task. We then switch to the Pacific P512PF which is near the Brick Plant, in order to start the Saving the Farmer's Machinery task. We head away from the Brick Plant and down to the water's edge near the farmer's fields where we find the White Western Star 4964 for the task. The Pacific P512 does a great job of getting it going, and we head across the little islands and back to the main path we had come down and then head around the shoreline, heading towards the Wooden Bridge. On the way, we have to go around a very large rock - and just as we were getting around it, the Pacific P512PF tips over, so we switch to the Ford F750 which is currently parked at the Quarry. Whilst at the Quarry, I decide to do the Quarry Race contest - so we head up and out of the Quarry to trigger the contest. The Quarry Race needs you to get through 5 points in and around the quarry, which we manage to do in a silver time (missed gold by about 15 seconds). Once we finish this contest, we then head back via the Brick Plant and down to the sandy beach, where we find the Pacific P512PF on its side. We manage to use the Ford F750 to get the Pacific P512 back onto its wheels again, and then move it a little out of the way so we can winch/tow the White Western Star 4964 past the nasty rock. Once we have the trucks back onto even dry land, we take a lot of the fuel out of the White Western Star 4964, leaving it with just 58L. We then hop back into the Pacific P512 and continue winch/towing the White Western Star 4964 along the sandy foreshore, all the way around to the destination where we complete the Saving the Farmers Machinery task. Whilst in this part of the map, we then take the Pacific P512PF up to find and retrieve the 2 x Service Spare Parts from the ravine, and deliver them to complete the Lost Supplies task. We end the day by hopping into the Ford F750 and taking it across the Wooden Bridge, and then around the water's edge ... but unfortunately didn't see a large rock, and tipped over to end the day on our side.
I am playing with the standard Snow Runner Hard Mode rules:
You have to pay for your fuel & repairs;
You have to pay for your vehicle deployment;
You have to pay for your vehicle recovery;
You have to pay every time you load cargo automatically;
You are not able to sell your trailers and semi-trailers;
You sell your trucks and equipment for half its price;
Contests are restricted in the number of tries you make;
You have to search for the facilities with the cargo that you need by yourself;
You are not able to skip forwards in time.
On top of these, I have also added the following rules:
No mods;
Only solo gameplay, no co-op / multiplayer;
Region must be 100% complete before starting the next region;
Regions must be executed in the standard Snow Runner sequence;
Only vehicles native to the region may be purchased/deployed in that region.
