[ TUTORIAL 15: Blending and combining images with blending modes in Photoshop ]
In this tutorial, we'll show you how to add texture to an image using Photoshop's blending modes.
📌 HOW TO ADD TEXTURE TO AN IMAGE
Start with two layers. The image with the texture you want to add should be on the top layer, while the main image should be on the bottom layer.
In the Layers panel, make sure the top layer (texture) is selected.
In the top left of the Layers panel, change the blending mode from Normal to Overlay in the drop-down menu. This will change the way the colors in the texture layer interact with the colors in the layer below. Experiment with other blending modes until you find the one that works best for your images.
At the top of the Layers panel, try decreasing the Opacity slider to change the texture's appearance on the image.
