After attending the Salesian Valsalice High School in Turin, Mauro Biglino served in the Alpine Special Infantry Corps, serving as a nurse.[1] He later worked as a translator of Biblical Hebrew for a publishing project by Edizioni San Paolo, for which he performed the interlinear translation of seventeen books of the Masoretic text of the Bible, namely the Twelve Minor Prophets and the five Meghilot. These translations were collected in the two volumes, The Minor Prophets and The Five Meghillot. Based partly on his translation, which he defines as literal[2][3], Biglino approaches the Bible on the one hand by attributing to it the nature of a historical chronicle, on the other by deducing hypotheses that can be placed within the strand of neo-evemerism, paleoastronautics, non-religious creationism and similar to those of Zecharia Sitchin, another supporter of the ancient astronaut theory.
