Timer-counter 1, 2 ATmega8 | Microcontrollers from scratch #13
Timer-counter 1 is the most functional of all three timer-counters of the ATmega8 microcontroller. It has a 16-bit count register TCNT1, in which it is possible to record 65535 clock cycles of the microcontroller, which corresponds to approximately 4.2 with a time interval at a frequency of ATmega8 1 MHz. The setting of this timer and the division of the fundamental frequency of the MC are carried out using the register TCCR1. Also in this video are considered the settings of the 2nd timer-counter, with the operating registers of the case of TCCR2 and TCNT2.
