What Happens with the TTL Expires in a PING Command?

The TTL Time To Live of the PING command in the command prompt is used to prevent packets from bouncing around networks indefinitely. Each time a packet is routed through a network, the TTL is subtracted by one. If it reaches 0, then it will be discarded.
