The on-demand nature of podcasts has seen a huge surge in popularity of the medium. But many people don’t know that podcasts actually go back to the 1980s and were initially called ‘audio blogging’. Today, over 30 million podcast episodes have been released as podcasting continues to grow in popularity in South Africa and worldwide.
