🎯 🧾 SQL Accounting | Year End Made Easy!
Every time the financial year ends, do you find yourself confused about how to do Year End in SQL? 😅 Don’t worry — this guide will help you get it done step by step! 👇
✨ Step-by-Step Guide to Complete Your Year End:
1️⃣ Backup Your Database
This is very important! Always back up your data first to prevent any loss or errors.
Go to: File → Backup Database → Choose Location → Backup ✅
2️⃣ Analyse Data Integrity
Make sure your system data is error-free before proceeding.
Go to: Tools → Analyse Data Integrity → Start Analyse → OK
3️⃣ Check Your Financial Start Period
Go to: Tools → Options → General Ledger
For example: if your start date is 01/01/2024,
then your closing date should be 31/12/2024.
4️⃣ Perform Year End
On your keyboard, press CTRL + SHIFT, then click Tools → Year End.
Select your year-end date (e.g. 31/12/2024) → Click Start → OK.
5️⃣ Log in to the New Financial Year
Go to: File → Log On → Select “YEAR ENDED” Company File.
After logging in, check your Financial Start Period —
it should now show 01/01/2025! 🎉
6️⃣ Update Company Profile Remark
To make it easier to identify your database,
add a remark such as:
📌 FY2025 or Year Ended 01/01/2025
✅ That’s it!
Congratulations on successfully completing your SQL Year End! 🎉
A new financial year, a fresh start! 💪
Keep your accounts clean, your reports organized,
and get ready to welcome FY2025 with confidence! 🚀
