We were wrong waaaay before we even got on the Meraviglia. It may be the most luxurious budget cruise we've been on so far. For a Aurea Balcony package, it's not exactly the cheapest, but it does give you some perks to make it feel like you've score big time.
The ship itself is rather big, but we felt as if they could have done more or added more to make it a better experience. The food was so so. Wasn't the best and wasn't exactly horrible. The activities were plentiful and the entertainment certainly bailed them out. Party every night. Good theater shows. Bands were so so. If you're looking for just a relaxing time with minimal cuisine expectations, then this is probably the best option for saving a little, jumping into the thermal spa and getting that tan on.
