Red and white were the colours of the day as thousands of people joined in the Canada Day celebrations at Wascana Centre in Regina on July 1. The festivities to mark the country’s 150th anniversary of Confederation were the biggest and best ever, featuring the opening ceremonies, iconic Canadian sights and sounds such as the RCMP, a 21-gun salute, bagpipes and a spectacular fireworks display.
A highlight of the celebrations saw 2,000 people participate in creating our largest-ever “living” Canadian flag! Check out this video of the impressive flag event.
