The Shambolics "I'm A Believer" Halesowen Carnival Highfields Park
IT ALL STARTED WHEN…
The founding members of the band convinced the landlord of the Waggon & Horses, Halesowen to start a jam night. When no musicians turned up, the thought they’d better have a go at playing! And so it went for a few weeks.
The Waggon shut for refurbishment and the band moved the jam night to the Vine in Cradley. Other members joined until there was a full complement of 7, with 3 vocalists, an acoustic, rhythm and lead guitarist, a harmonica player, a bass player and a drummer.
This was the creation of one of the Black Country's best pub rock groups. Slowly they became the accomplished, professional band they are today. The Shambolics are known all over the Black Country for their high octane, energetic live shows.
The Halesowen Carnival and Music Festival is an annual event that has become one of the largest in the area. It continues to grow each year and will feature a fantastic lineup of artists this year. Along with our food and drink area, we'll have over 50 stalls, a fairground, a fun dog show, wrestling, and much more.
