Plant vs Human: What does indirect light even mean?
Part 8: Indirect Light can be a confusing subject for many plant parents (myself included) but the most rudimentary test for understanding the difference is this:
If you put out your hand and can feel the sun’s rays warming your skin, that is direct light.
Once you remove your hand from the direct light but are still in a lit area, you have now entered indirect light.
Yes, there are more scientific methods for measuring light with different light meters and technology, but this is the easiest and fastest way to get a rough estimation of your environment’s light patterns!
The never-ending quest for bright indirect light shall continue, and if there are plant gods in the afterlife, I will be sure to ask them about it.
