Use Your Google Home With Your Home Theater Speakers
If you're wondering how to connect existing Home Theater speakers to your Google Home and then control them, here's how you do it. This becomes a great option for anyone who also has speakers in your wall or in your ceiling that are existing and haven't been integrated with your Google Home speaker groups.

The critical parts here was that it was a wired or wireless (I can choose) receiver with Google Chromecast and integration with Google Assistant. Any receiver with those components will work, but mine was relatively inexpensive for a 7.2 system with 2 zones. I love it, and it's also Airplay compatible, which my wife loves.
