Hello to All,
"Assuming you have the latest Oracle VM VirtualBox installed"
01. open your terminal or command prompt
(using Windows box - if you're using a unix box, the concepts are still the same)
02. @ prompt, navigate to the installed location of the VirtualBox Software
"cd c:\program files\oracle\virtualbox" without qoutes and press enter
03. @ prompt, type: VBoxManage modifyhd "[Location of .vdi]" --resize [size]
Example: C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxManage modifyhd "S:\Virtual Machine Apps\Windows XP Pro [64]\Windows XP Pro [64].vdi" --resize 40960
Please note: --resize [size] is measured in megabytes(Mb)
15360 = 15Gbs (1024 (= 1 Mb) X 15 (As Gbs) = 15360)
40960 = 40Gbs (1024 (= 1 Mb) X 40 (As Gbs) = 40960)
1024000 = 1Tb (1024 X 1000 = 1024000)
04. Download and install EASEUS Free Magic Partition Manager Software inside
your running virtual application
[Windows] http://www.partition-tool.com/persona...
[Unix] use an installed partitioner (QParted, GParted, Disk Druid and etc)
05. Start EASEUS App, right-click on Disk (to expand) and choose Resize
06. Drag outher slider to the right (or as desired) and click OK
07. Click Apply. Once completed, it's best to restart and you're finshed.
