Steps on how to create low poly portrait effect in Photoshop :-
1. So the first step is to select the model in the image using Polygon lasso tool , we are using polygon lasso tool instead of Quick selection tool as we do not need an exact selection of the model and selection from polygon lasso will help in the poly effect.
2. Now after the selection of the model using the tool is done then press CTRL + J to create a duplicate of the model in a new layer.
3. After that make the background layer active and hide it and then click on Create new fill or adjustment layer icon and select Solid color over there and then select the color as White and click on Ok.
4. Now again make the model layer active and then select Polygon lasso tool and then using it make a triangle in the face of the model and then go to Filter and then blur and then select Average over there and then press CTRL + D to deselect the selection.
5. After that make another or same shape using tool adjacent to the previous shape and then press CTRL + F to use the previously used filter i.e Average blur and then press CTRL + D .
6. Now repeat the 5th step until whole image is covered but remember while repeating never cover parts of the body in a single selection because of this original image will be lost , also never do not keep the size of the selection too large as original image will be lost if the size is large and also never keep it too small as it will maintain the original image but you wil be bored.
7. Now keep changing the shapes while repeating and find the best fit.
So this process might take some time to get the best effect so keep trying and give your best! All the best for your editing!
