Description:

Call of Duty: Warzone is the battle royale mode for the popular military FPS game. Similar to games like Fortnite and Apex Legends, players will compete against other players to survive until the end, but Warzone will make some interesting changes to the battle royale formula.

Warzone was developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software and published by Activision. Warzone allows online multiplayer combat among 150 players set in the fictional city of Verdansk, which is loosely based on Donetsk city in Eastern Ukraine. The game features both cross-platform play and cross-platform progression between both games.

The free-to-play battle royale mode is available to anyone on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It's already been a hit, with 30 million players jumping on Warzone in its first 10 days. As is the case with any popular game, there are cheaters looking to spoil everyone's fun.

The game features two main modes, Blood Money and Battle Royale. Warzone introduces a new in-game currency system called "Cash" which is used at "Buy Stations" in and around Verdansk. "Loadout" drops are an example of where Cash can be traded for limited access to players' custom classes (which are shared with Modern Warfare's standard modes). Players may also use Cash to purchase items such as "killstreaks" and gas masks. At launch, Warzone allowed a squad capacity of three. A solo mode was added to Warzone a week later on 17 March 2020.

Activision and Infinity Ward have banned 50,000 cheaters since the game's launch, according to the official Call of Duty website Tuesday. This included players who used programs to let them shoot impossible shots, better known as aimbots and wallhacks that can let some shoot through walls. There are plans to improve the in-game reporting system to make it as seamless as possible.

On 20 March 2020, Activision announced that Warzone had surpassed over 30 million downloads in the first 10 days.
