16 And he came unto Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, as was his custom, and stood up to read.
17 And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed unto him: and as he unwound the book, he found the place where it was written:
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me: for he hath anointed me to bring good tidings unto the poor: he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are oppressed:
19 To proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.
20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him.
