The Zone: Stalker Stories is a hybrid story-driven RPG and card battler, inspired by Slay the Spire, Darkest Dungeon, and classic top-down adventures.
You live among a small city of survivors trapped inside the strange, post-apocalyptic landscape known as the Zone. A 'mutant' -- someone with real psionic abilities, shunned and feared by many. You have friends, though, and one of them desperately needs your help.
Take up the mantle of a Stalker. Venture out beyond the city walls, uncover powerful artifacts and unique treasures, and fight for your life against monsters and nightmares while you get the job done...
...Including the most insidious enemy of all: the constant, creeping confusion and mental stress of simply existing inside the Zone.
Developed by veteran game writer & novelist Ryan Span (The Next World, Golem Creation Kit, Mount&Blade, The Impostor Prince), Ryan hopes that Zone's hand-drawn environments and rich story will bring something fresh and interesting to a genre dominated by Roguelikes.
