The Terran 1 is a small-lift launch vehicle developed by Relativity Space since 2017. What makes this rocket unique is that most structures and components are manufactured with 3D printing processes. The rocket is capable of carrying up to 1,250 kg to lower inclination low-Earth orbits and has a maximum payload of 1,500 kg to low Earth orbit. The primary and secondary structures of Terran 1 are made with Relativity's Stargate 3D printer out of a proprietary aluminum alloy. The first stage is powered by nine Aeon 1 engines, and the second stage is powered by a single vacuum-optimized version of Aeon 1. The rocket's payload fairing measures 6.8 m long and has a diameter of 3 m. The advertised launch price for Terran 1 is $12 million USD per mission. Relativity claims that they can reduce the part count in the vehicle by 100 times compared to traditionally-manufactured rockets and manufacture an entire flight article from raw materials in 60 days. Terran R, an in-development launch vehicle, will utilize the same tooling used to manufacture Terran 1.
