Dynare parallel on Windows: PSTools, creating a configuration file and a simple estimation example
This is a quick tutorial on how to use the parallel option in Dynare on Windows. First, we cover how to install PSTools and add it to the user or system path. Then we create a configuration file for Dynare. An example mod-file is provided which estimates a small DSGE model using the Random-Walk Metropolis-Hastings MCMC algorithm with 4 chains computed in parallel.
