Quick Coaching Tip Video:
I shot this video about a week back. In this demo I’m going over some corrections for the RB to correct to make him move more efficiently. As a RB your heel should never touch the ground. PERIOD! The more time your foot spends in the ground the bigger the chance of you getting tackled. Outside of doing foot activation drills, RB must work on keeping the foot in a Plantar Flexion position. If you cannot keep your foot in a plantar flexion position when making a cut you are in deep trouble. Remember "Slow Feet Don't Eat"...
Corrections:
1. Never Show Your Chest
2. Don’t Let Your Heels Crash (Heels Never Hit The Ground)
3. Run With Lower Center Of Gravity
4. When Making A Cut Up Field You Must See A Big Difference In Speed (Acceleration)
