The Doors—a quintessential 1960s rock quartet from LA featuring Morrison, Manzarek, Krieger, and Densmore—created six groundbreaking albums between 1967-1971. Named after Huxley's book, they embodied counterculture through Morrison's poetic lyrics and wild performances. After Morrison's 1971 death, they briefly continued before disbanding. With 100+ million records sold and eight consecutive gold LPs, they joined the Rock Hall of Fame in 1993.
