A recording of the Angelic Salutation (having the same origin as the Western "Hail Mary"), commonly referred to by its incipit "Rejoice, O Virgin Theotokos" (Богородице дѣво, радуйся in Slavonic), as sung at the dismissal of Vespers. The first two times are simply the Kievan Chant Tone 4 troparion melody, first in Slavonic and then in English, but the third time it is sung to the composition of Father Deacon Sergei Trubachev, as modified by Archimandrite Matfei, both of blessed memory; sung by the combined Jordanville Seminary Choir, St. Tikhon's Mission Choir, and ROCOR Eastern American Diocese Youth Men's Choir for the occasion of the Vigil for the Hawaii Iveron Icon of the Mother of God, on October 12th, 2012, in celebration of the 5th Anniversary of the Reunification of ROCOR with the Moscow Patriarchate.
The text, in English, is as follows:
Rejoice, O Virgin Theotokos,
Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
for thou hast born the Saviour of our souls.
