Must Have Gear Pieces for Escaping Mid game in OSRS
📢 Hey, fellow adventurers! Pro here with the ultimate guide to leveling up your mid-game gear in OSRS. If you're looking to dominate your mid-game journey, these are the five gear pieces you absolutely must have. Let's jump right in!
1. Osmumten's Fang: When it comes to smashing through high-defense monsters, the Fang is your weapon of choice. With the current price at around 30 mil, it's a steal. This beast requires 82 Attack, so if you're not there yet, don't worry; I've got another recommendation later. The Fang offers two unique passives that make it a beast against high-defense foes.
2. Elite Void: This set is a game-changer. Perfect for budget setups and attainable early on. Grab it from the Pest Control minigame after getting the regular Void set. Elite Void consists of just the top and bottom, making it versatile for Ranged, Melee, and Mage setups. You can switch by changing helmets while keeping everything else the same. To wear it, you'll need 42 in Attack, Strength, Defence, Magic, Hitpoints, Ranged, and 22 Prayer. Completing the hard Western Providence Diaries will unlock it.
3. BoFa / Crystal Armor: Once your bank account allows, the BoFa and Crystal Armor set are your ticket to greatness. Perfect for raids, Zulrah, Phandom Muspah, and more. You'll recoup your investment quickly. Combining the Bow of Faerdhinen and the armor gives you a massive ranged accuracy boost. While the Twisted Bow is better for damage, it's also 15 times the price. The Bow of Faerdhinen is an excellent alternative, with no need for arrows and consistent performance.
4. The Venator Bow: You'll need 80 Ranged to wield this gem, crafted from five Venator shards or bought at the Grand Exchange. It boasts a range of six (eight with "Long Range" combat style) and can shoot any arrow type. Unlike degrading weapons, it's a workhorse with a unique passive effect. In multi-combat areas, it can fire an additional arrow at a nearby target, bouncing to other nearby targets. Each ancient essence adds a charge, maxing at 50,000 charges. One charge is used per attack, making it fantastic for AFK Slayer.
5. The Lightbearer: This special ring is a rare reward from the Tombs of Amascut. Crafted from the unstable energy of Tumeken's sacrifice, it requires no specific stats to wear. What makes it shine is its accelerated special attack energy regeneration. It restores your special attack energy twice as fast, at a rate of 15 seconds per 10% or 150 seconds per 100%. Equipping or unequipping the ring resets the timer. It's a must-have for raids and versatile across combat styles.
