During the first few weeks of my internship at Orange in 2016, I had to connect a web application to web services provided by other departments.
In fact, when I sent an HTTP request, my code didn't work...
Even though I had tested it the night before at home on my workstation and everything had worked!
After discussing it with my technical mentor at the time, we finally established a secure communication policy between our two machines.
That's how I discovered the CORS standard, somewhat unintentionally...
