Indie rock artist Haiva Ru performs “Flames” off her 2021 album Bloom Baby Bloom.
Haiva Ru says the song is about “the aftermath of losing [my sister] and during a season of wildfires that burned the hills and homes around our childhood town.” This session was filmed and recorded live on a custom set at OurVinyl Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.

Haiva Ru is an indie rock artist from Santa Barbara, now based out of Nashville. Classically trained on piano, Haiva Ru (aka Allie Merrill) released her debut 10-song album “Bloom Baby Bloom” in 2021. Her follow up single “Kisses on My Neck” was released in early 2022, and she has announced upcoming tour dates with indie rock band (OurVinyl Session alumni) Mo Lowda.
