How to deliver stems to your mixingengineer!
Name and number tracks as follows: 01_kick, 02_Snare in the same order they are in your project.
If necessary turn down your levels to create at least 6db of headroom and avoid clipping.
Export vocals straight from the mic with tuning only. and processed as you had it.
Export vocal Reverbs and Delays as seperate stems.
Export instrumental stems with processing on.If there’s FX as an insert on your instruments, export them with it, if it’s on an auxilliary, export the aux.
Bounce in the same samplerate as the project and at least 24 bit, turn off any normalization or dithering. DO NOT FORGET TO CHECK THE VOLUME AUTOMATION BOX!
Include your rough mix or demo and an instrumental.
Mention BPM and Key in foldername
Before sending, import files into an empty project and hit play to check if it aligns correctly and sounds exactly like the demo.
