✪ Metal Mania 3.0 Rebooted | Sonic Mania (1080P @ 60FPS) ✪
[PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION BEFORE COMMENTING]
When I was working on Metal Mania v1.0 last year, I didn't have the chance to
use the RSDK animation editor until v2.0. Also back then I did not know you could
change the size of the sprite sheet as well (e.g. 254x254 to 512x1024) This lead
to a lot of sprites being off pivot and clipped off (Metal's nose and feet).
With OBE's new editor (v1.2.2), I can correct a lot of errors found in v.2.0 more easily.
So Here are some updates for Metal Mania 3.0:
Changed the title card BG to black via hex editing in the .exe. TI
knew how to do this for a while now but wanted to show it could
be done. Still testing this.
bars as well.
Updated Title Screen ribbon to S3&k checkered ribbon pattern.
Loading screen has animations like MUI and Hesse Sonic.
Changed walk animation to Metal's hover from the SSZ2 Boss.
I want to make it more like Rebooted's walk cycle.
Custom jog and run animations based on Metal from 'Metal Sonic Rebooted' and
Sonic CD JP box art.
Made Super Metal Sonic's palette similar to Metal Sonic Kai while
adding electric arcs to his idle pose.
Corrected a lot of pivot points of sprite animations and Metal's nose being clipped.
This video also showcases the Metal Sonic Kai mod by DarkSlayer1996. Also there appears to be an issue with Super Metal Sonic's palette since normal Metal uses 7 colours and the game only handles 6 for super and 6 for pulse. The blue bits is the 7th color not in the 36D6*.bin file.
