The Fighting Force Collection brings a pair of classic PS1-era brawlers to Nintendo Switch, preserved by Limited Run Games with a handful of modern quality of life features.
After renting Fighting Force from Blockbuster and playing it endlessly as a kid, I was excited to revisit this beat ‘em up classic and finally experience its sequel. While the original still delivers some satisfying arcade-style brawling, the sequel takes the series in a very different direction, and not always for the better.
With upscaling, CRT filter options, save states, rewind functionality, and a concept art gallery, this collection is clearly aimed at fans of the series. The big question is whether these games still hold up today, or if some memories are better left untouched.
