I recently bought the UE Drops from Ultimate Ears (Logitech) because I've always wanted a pair of fitted earbuds that would sound great.
I've bought wired earbuds from UE in the past and had a great experience with them, so I was excited to see what this very expensive set of earbuds would sound and feel like.
The UE Drops are not cheap (I paid $449 for them shortly after they were first released), and the process of getting them fitted with the mobile app takes a bit of time, so this is not the best pair of earbuds to get if you prefer instant gratification (I actually didn't have the best experience with them, as I'll explain in the video).
Ultimately, these earbuds did not work out well for me because the fitted tips are rock-hard. This is fine as long as you don't move your face or ears in any way (no smiling, no talking, no eating, no eyebrow movements, etc.), but as soon as I started moving my face in any way, it caused my ears to pretty up against the glass-like molded tips, which caused a bit of discomfort. Wearing these for hours on end was very uncomfortable.
I am honestly quite sad to report this because I was really excited to try these out, and I wanted them to work... but the fitted tips just didn't have enough give and flexibility. I think UE is a great company with great products. This one was almost there, but because of this one critical design flaw, it basically ruined them for me.
I do not have any affiliate relationship with Ultimate Ears. I paid the full price for these earbuds, and I do not get any compensation if you buy them or not. So, just be aware these are my honest, unbiased opinions.
