In this video I discuss the concept of “guilt societies” vs “shame societies” and the online discourse around bringing back shame/public shaming, and how in the end, guilt societies like the U.S. don’t really work to deter fascism because to feel guilty you need to have a conscience, and the US doesn’t have one (as per Stokely Charmichael/Kwame Ture).
