In this tutorial, I show you KreateFlo's Scene Detector, a tool built to outperform Premiere Pro's built-in scene detection, which is often unreliable and misses cuts. This version is significantly more accurate, even when you're working with a final exported video and don't have the original raw footage.

I walk through adjusting sensitivity, choosing between adding markers or cutting out scenes, and detecting every scene change in a video automatically.

This is part of our ongoing KreateFlo series. Catch up on the earlier tutorials covering Installation, Multicam Editing, Audio Editing, Pitch Correction, Single-Speaker Editing, Spotlight/Updates, Transitions, Auto Zoom, Auto Resize, Quick Insert, Clip Colorizer, and Black Frames if you're just getting started.

What you'll learn:
1. Why Premiere Pro's native scene detection often falls short
2. How to adjust sensitivity before running detection
3. The difference between "Add Markers" and "Cut Out Scenes"
4. How to detect every scene change in a video, even without the original raw file
5. How to add markers at each detected scene
6. How "Apply Cuts" adds a cut at every marker, if you choose that option instead

If you've ever had Premiere Pro miss obvious scene changes, this feature is built to catch what it doesn't.
