Arguably the most successful operating system of all time, Linux has found its way into web servers, supercomputers, and most of the world's smartphones. First conceived as an open-source alternative to Unix, it quickly became an option for embedded systems. Hardware such as Beaglebone and Raspberry Pi places embedded Linux in the hands of everybody. So, what is embedded Linux? And how can you get started? We spoke with Michael Opdenacker from Bootlin.
