Honestly, I really like refurbished devices. I have come to learn that, through detailed inspection and testing, they are as good as new, and perhaps even better. My opinion changed after I was talking to a friend about buying Nintendo DS's for my kids. They suggested buying refurbished as it was roughly half the price. I was doubtful, wondering how a second-hand device could be better, however, I was informed that refurbished electronics like the Nintendo DS and the Apple iPhone get thoroughly checked and inspected, and that they will never sell a bad device twice. This was an enlightening experience, and I now fully believe that refurbished devices are a great choice.

Honestly, I like refurb devices. I know that they've, like, fine tooth combed every circuit. And they're not going to sell a bad phone twice. And I learned that, actually, trying to buy my kids Nintendo DS’s. I was talking to a friend and I was like, “I want to buy my kids Nintendo DS’s, but da-gone are these things expensive.” And they said, “Get refurb. It's $150 cheaper. It's $200 instead of 350. And they're better.” I go, “What do you mean better? How could a refurb device be better?” And they said what I just said to you is that, “Well, they've taken it apart and looked at every circuit board and fine tooth combed it and tested it. They're not going to sell it bad DS twice. I went “Wow, that's a great way to look at it."
