Fotga Follow Focus 11 Test with Written Review
Quick testing of a very decent Follow Focus system that's inexpensive.. This unit has no backlash whatsoever and has a Damper that makes it remarkably smooth & precise. It's all Aircraft Aluminum with a very solid feel. The gear Wheel to the Lens and Marker are the only parts in Plastic. You can rotate the gear wheel from front to back which the first Fotga Follow Focus 1 can not do nor has the Damper built in .You have the option of getting it with 2 stops or none. It also has either the Quick Release to your rod system that a lot of people like or the Slide On which is cheaper. I would recommend the Fotga No 2 with Damper over the first one that came out. On par with more expensive Follow Focuses at twice the price or more... There are quite a few reviews on YouTube that most would agree to the quality of this particular Fotga 2 Follow Focus. I wrote a written review as most other reviews focus more on the item with little or no demonstrations of it's focusing abilities.... UPDATE: Purchased the Fotga Snap On and find it a lot easier to work with adjustments on the Follow Focus & alignment of the lens. Highly recommend. Please watch in 1080p
