#INTRODUCTION
Data Model is a collection of high level data description constructs that hide many low level storage details.
#DBMS allows a user to define the data to be stored in terms of data models.
Data model is collection of conceptual tools for describing data, data relationships, data semantics and consistency constraints.

The Entity Relationship Model
The #ERmodel is based on a perception of a real world that consists of a collection of a basic object called entities and of relationships among these object.
Entity is a thing or object in a real world that is distinguishable from other objects.
Relationship is an association among server entities.
The set of all entities of the same type and the set of all relationships of the same type are termed and entity set and relationship set respectively.
Relationship Model
The central data description construct in this model is a relation, which can be through of as a set of records.
It uses a collection of tables to represents both data and the relationships among the data.
The description of data in term of a data model is called a “schema”
Other Data Models
Object Oriented Data Model :- This object model support object oriented concept like #encapsulation
#Object Relational Data Model :- This Model combines features of object oriented data model and relational model.
#Semi - #structured Data Model :- permit the specification of data where individual data items of same type may have different set of attribute.
