By Road: Accessible via NH-5 through Shimla, Rampur, and Sangla. The drive from Shimla (approx. 250 km) takes about 9-10 hours, while the drive from Chandigarh (approx. 350 km) takes 11-12 hours.Local Taxis: Taxis from major towns like Sangla cost roughly ₹2,000 for day trips to Chitkul.Best Time: Summer (May to October) offers the best weather and lush landscapes, as peak winters see heavy snowfall and road closures
