Sweep in Creo || Creo Modelling Tutorials
sweep command adds or remove the material as the sketch sweeps along the trajectory.
The path followed by the profile or section is called trajectory.
Profile or section is the sketch or 2d shape
select the sweep command and to draw a trajectory now, from my right side of my window there is datum option and from the drop down list of the datum select the sketch.
Select any plane and click sketch view and draw a spline here like this and now give a check mark.
Resume the operation by clicking this resume button.
Select this internal sketcher and click sketch view
Draw theprofile at this intersection of two cross heads.
You can increase the length of your trajectory by using this drag handles here.
You can also increase or decrease the size of your section
click your section and drag it like this, now the diameter of the circle changes
Thicken sketch tool adds a thickness to a sketch to create a thin solid, a thin solid cut, or a thin surface trim.
you can provide a suitable thickness value to your sweep by providing some Values in thickness box
You can also sweep as surface by using this surface tool here.
The capped ends closes each end of a sweep feature.and is available for surface sweeps
Merge ends Connects the ends of a solid sweep feature to a nearby solid surface without leaving gaps.
With Remove material the material gets removed along the path of the trajectory.
Constant sweep specifies that the section shape does not change as it is swept along the trajectory.
Variable section sweep Specifies that the shape of the section can be changed as it is swept along the trajectory.
