Russian Foreign Minister has said Greece is “mindful” of its obligation to refrain from transferring S-300 to Ukraine. Sergey Lavrov’s comment came after recent media reports indicated that Greece was ready to transfer its S-300s to Ukraine. His remark also came after Greek Foreign Minister suggested that Greece's S-300 systems on Crete could potentially be transferred to Ukraine. The seriousness of the matter is such that Russian officials also referenced the Cypriot Missile Crisis of the late 1990s in their warnings to Greece.
