When Peter Hahne started working as a television journalist for public broadcasting 50 years ago, his world was different.
Today, he admits: "The situation is dramatic" and is coming clean with politicians and his colleagues, whom he accuses of "allowing themselves to be instrumentalized."
But there is also hope: The pressure from the streets has deeply impressed Peter Hahne. And so he concludes that we must continue.
On the streets, with new media and a wave of enlightenment that will wake up even the most dim-witted people. It's not too late.
Peter Hahne worked for many years at ZDF, was an editor on the "heute-journal," and is a veteran of the German media landscape.
