YouTube Content ID - Is It Worth It?
In this video I explain what YouTube Content ID is. I do an overview of other options that YouTube gives to content creators by which you can claim your copyrighted material. I then move onto explaining how you can get your music included in YouTube Content ID system by going through a music distributor and how much it costs. I use two specific examples of Ditto Music and Distrokid. I also briefly touch upon the importance of registering your original music with a Performance Rights Organisation (PRO).
The video should give you an idea of whether being included in YouTube Content ID system is the right thing for you, depending on whether you are just starting on YouTube or with your music or whether you are an established artist and content creator.
