Pathfinder 2E: Persistent Damage Calculations and Strategy
Hearty McDabbles thankyou to everyone who posted on the last video...two weeks ago I guess. There were some major problems in that one so we pulled it and will fix it up and repost it. In the meantime, I figured I had to get my head around the MATH on this persistent damage...so...made it into a video.
Persistent damage is tough to assess. Here is a 3 step guide to calculate persistent damage as an average so you can compare it to other average damages. When we do this, and look at some graphs, we see there is a steep curve that flattens significantly after a couple of rounds. What does all this mean? Well...persistent damage isn't going to be a whole lot...but...it IS tough to get rid of...so, with that in mind, we come up with a couple strategies to get the most out of your persistent damage.
