Hello my friends! =D Today we're going to do something different! We went to Hard Off, a used electronics store here in Japan, more specifically in Tokyo, where they have a "Junk" section, which is what they call the Game Dump in Japan. They take these devices, sometimes for free, from people who would otherwise throw them away, and sell them at very low prices!
You might even find a lot of rarities, too, hope you like them!! =D

Systems in the junk area aren't always broken! You need to read the price tag. Sometimes it will tell you what's not working. If it doesn't say anything, it usually means they didn't check if it worked and just put it in the junk section. I bought a Famicom outside the junk area and it worked. Just ask if it doesn't work or if it hasn't been tested. Usually, they don't test it if it doesn't say so on the label. If it's super cheap, then I'd buy it. Just check for obvious wear on the covers to see if you can find anything that makes you think it doesn't actually work. Famicoms are tough as hell. The disk system, however... risky business.

Hard Off Tokyo: Affordable Electronics, Instruments, and Recycled Junk
Occasionally, to save space and money, "Off" chain stores are paired together. This Hard-Off was paired with Off-Home (selling used clothing and appliances). I've also seen Hard-Off paired with Hobby-Off (cheap figurines/stuffed animals and trading cards). I've never seen it paired with Garage-Off (large devices that fit in your garage) or Book-Off (cheap, used books).
The expensive electronics were in glass cases. They had affordable electronic dictionaries, translating from Japanese to English, German, French, Korean, Chinese, and even one to Italian. They had a couple of third-generation iPhones, several MP3 players, all sorts of Wii accessories, and (my favorite) some AKB48 dating simulation games. You could date all 48 AKB girls, showing swimsuit scenes, a romantic date at Tokyo Disneyland, and some wedding dresses.
