The book is an important medium for many photographers as it enables them to present their work—also, or in particular, in our digital age. However, how does one find the optimum design for a photo book? According to which criteria is the format and paper chosen? How does one put the pictures together and agree on the layout? What is relevant for the printing process? In his lecture, the experienced, successful Dutch designer and publisher Hans Gremmen not only provides an insight into his work, but in his master class also advises photographers and artists on the design of their own photo book.
