I modeled this horse in Houdini and then brought that into Substance Painter to texture it! Utilizing specific and unique nodes in Houdini I was able to use code driven manipulation to create one moving horse. Then using a particle sim I created a field of particles that avoided "Meta Balls" and then copied one horse to all of those points using coding to place the horse animation in different stages so they are not all running at the same point in the walk cycle. I then instanced rocks to those meta ball points so there was realistic geometry for the horses to avoid. I created the landscape in the Stage level and then rendered this entire sequence out in Karma!
