If you need to hide someone’s identity in a video, blur sensitive information, or censor part of a shot, Premiere Pro gives you several ways to do it quickly and cleanly.
In this video, I’ll show you a couple of different methods you can use to blur or pixelate someone’s face in Premiere Pro. We’ll use effects like Mosaic to create a pixelated censor effect, and I’ll also demonstrate how to track the movement of a face so the blur follows the subject throughout the shot.
A lot of people try to blur faces manually frame by frame, which takes far longer than it should. Once you understand how mask tracking works in Premiere Pro, you can apply a blur or pixelation effect that automatically follows the person as they move around the frame.
By the end of this video, you’ll know how to blur or censor faces properly using mask tracking, and how to create clean pixelation effects that stay locked onto the subject.
