BRAVE NEW WORLD Season 2 Cancelled by Peacock Despite Great Reviews and Star-Studded Cast
Hey, guys! It’s been almost four months since the release of the debut season of Brave New World on the Peacock service, and the streamer has finally made a decision about the show’s future. Well, unfortunately, Peacock chose not to proceed with Season 2 of Brave New World and announced the official cancellation of the show. The first season of the sci-fi drama series had very polarizing reviews: while viewers gave it a very high approval rating of 81% on Rotten Tomatoes, critics found too many flaws with the TV adaptation of the eponymous Aldous Huxley sci-fi novel and rated it at a very low 45%. Brave New World tanked, despite having solid building blocks: it’s based on the classic and groundbreaking 1932 novel, it had a big budget and featured diverse and talented cast, including Game of Thrones alum Harry Lloyd, Downton Abbey alum Jessica Brown Findlay and two-time Golden Globe nominee Demi Moore. Released on July 15, the same day the Peacock streaming service was launched, Brave New World did not live up to its expectations.
